Host Organization

The iSee Taiwan Foundation was established by Sayling Wen in 2003. Ted Wen became the Chairman in 2008, and set the Foundation’s vision as “becoming an essential portal for the world to see Taiwan” in the three core realms of culture, tourism, and innovation. The dual missions of the iSee Taiwan Foundation are to successfully market Taiwan’s unique character and heritage globally and to make the world Taiwan’s service market. The Foundation focuses on exploring, integrating, and promoting the culture and friendly nature of people and places throughout Taiwan, with the goal of creating more opportunities for Taiwan’s service industry by steadily increasing the number of inbound visitors from abroad.

About Forum

The iSee Taiwan Foundation dedicates itself to showcasing the beauty and exquisiteness of Taiwan to the world. The Foundation holds the “iSee Gastronomy Forum” during the “2021 Creative Expo Taiwan”, which brings together Taiwanese and world-class culinary masters for an exchange that transcends the boundaries of time and space, and the attendees will be treated with delicacies and exquisite service.

The Forum demonstrates the exquisite service industry using cultural food and inviting prominent figures in the culinary world such as Charles Reed, CEO of William Reed (Owner of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants) and Benjamín Lana Velasco, the President of Vocento Gastronomía (Organizer of Madrid Fusión) to talk online about “The Culture of Gastronomy and Its Global Impact” and “From Local to Global – The Basques and Their Worldwide Gastronomic Success”. Audiences from around the world could engage online and offline for an unprecedented experience.

To have the audiences onsite better experience the quality and value of exquisite service, the live streaming Forum is created with a cookery exchange demonstration by three distinguished chefs: The Basque chef Eneko Atxa, from Spain who oversees the 14th ranked restaurant among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, chef Richie Lin and chef Ryohei Hieda, who won the 7th and 31st place in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants respectively. The three chefs share their insights about the design and ingredients of gourmet food, the form of experiencing exquisite service, and demonstrate their marvelous culinary skills. The Forum attendees in Taiwan get to taste the exceptional works by the world-renowned culinary masters.
